Many of the Moms in our group volunteer their time and skills to serve others in the wider community here in Hong Kong, through Island ECC or by partnering with other local charities. We are often asked if we know of any volunteering opportunities by Moms looking to get involved in some way so have put together this list of the projects and organizations that we work with.
The Children's Residential Home
What: Playing with and feeding the infants and toddlers in the orphanage
When: Fridays 9.30 - 11.30 am (other weekday mornings also available)
Where: Sham Shui Po
Inner City Ministries
What: After school tuition for English speaking inner city South Asian children
When: Tues, Wed, Thurs 5 - 8.30pm
What: Kid's Club - games, stories & drama with inner city South Asian children
When: Saturdays 1.30 - 4pm
Where: Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
Lighthouse Ministry
What: Supporting teenage girls at the Barnabas Christian Drug Rehabilitation Home
When: Saturdays, once a month
Where: Ma On Shan
InLove Ministry
What: Youth group for Cantonese speaking teenagers from difficult home situations.
When: Saturdays 2 - 5 pm
Where: Island ECC
Nursing Home Outreach
What: Visiting elderly in an English-speaking Nursing Home
When: Last Sunday of the month
Womens Prison Correspondence Ministry
What: Writing letters to encourage a woman in a local prison
When: Once a month
